Objective: Nomenclature cards
teach vocabulary or names of things. Indirectly they can teach a
non-reader to closely examine words and identify the patterns to match
the label to the control card.
Ages: 4 - 12 years
Control of Error: The control cards (diagram with attached label) provide control of error.
Presentation: Bring the nomenclature cards to a work surface.
Use the
Three Period Lesson to introduce the cards. Arrange
the diagram cards and place the matching label under the card.
Use the control cards as necessary. When completed, return
the cards to the shelf.
Extension: The child can use a blank set of cards to color and label for his own use.
Specifics: These Science Nomenclature Cards were created by Polestar Private School.
